I went maybe about half of a month with undiagnosed Severe Anemia from heavy periods.
I got diagnosed with it about 2 days ago.
My Hemoglobin levels were at 7.3 when they should been above a 10.
They were considering a blood transfusion.
Could it have killed me if I didn’t go to the doctor when I did?

With blood tranfusion there is risk of infection. Iron supplements may take longer time.

My younger ways have caught up with me and now I suffer. I have non-alcoholic cyrhosis. and just recently had 29 esophageal varicees banded to stop the blood loss.

Over the last 3 years 6 hospital stays of 5 days each and 6-7 units of blood transfusion each time.

Hello I was diagnosed with pernicious anemia and seem to have constant chronic fatigue. I’ve tried sleeping, eating better and taking vitamin b12 pills & injections, is there anything else I can do or take?
To the posters suggesting I exercise or FAST do you know what the condition I’ve been diagnosed with is?
::::::::::::::::::::::::pernicious anemia:::::::::::::::::::::::::

Has nothing to do with lack of exercise!

I don’t know how young you can be to develop arthritis but my knees and joints are almost always in pain.
When I sit I have to stretch my knees out or they’ll start hurting, whenever my finger joints hurt I just start playing piano to keep my mind off it.
I’m anemic and have EDNOS so i’m not in the best of health.
I guess I can see why I might develop something else since i’m already a weak person without good nutrition.
My question is basically what it says…can anemia (and an eating disorder) also lead to arthritis?
