Critical illness insurance Main Features: Critical illness insurance* provides for a lump-sum payment, while the insured person is still alive, following diagnosis of any of the critical illnesses specified in the contract. Coverage from 000 to 00, 000 with 3 illnesses up to 31 illnesses. The following are the most commonly covered critical illnesses and surgical procedures: Heart attacks, strokes, heart surgery, cancer, kidney failure, organ transplants, paralysis, multiple sclerosis, blindness, deafness, coma, Parkinson’s disease, and Alzheimer’s disease. If no benefits have been paid or if the death is due to another cause, premiums may be refunded upon contract maturity. Critical illness insurance may be sold on its own or combined with other types of life and health insurance, or sold as part of a product that combines a lump-sum payment in the event of a critical illness with the payment of a sum upon death. In this case, the amount of the benefit paid upon diagnosis of the critical illness is deducted from the sum paid upon death, as the case may be.
I am a dancer with a show coming up and no time to visit a chiropractor beforehand. The pain started as stiffness, blossomed into pain when I lay on my back on a hard surface, and has since begun to spread into my hip joints. Dancing itself is not painful, but afterwards my body hurts. Can someone give me professional tips for relieving the pain, keeping it from spreading, and avoiding a serious injury? Thanks so much…
Starting on 3/1, went for a jog, but had my period. Took a shower, laid down, ever since then been in severe pain. I’ve had a abdominal CT scan (negative), pelvic ultrasound (negative), seen my primary doc numerous times, gyno twice, even GI doc. Bloodwork is negative, urine negative. Recently saw a chiropractor who told me my 3rd lumbar was unaligned, so he re-adjusted me, felt some lessoning of symptoms in all regions for 2 days, but now back in pain. Gyno has put me on birth control, because they think it may be endometriosis. They want to see if after 2 cycles the birth control takes care of it, but if not, they are recommended laprospcopy. My concern now, since I saw chiropractor, is that it’s more of a spine/back problem that is leading to these symptoms, but all my doctors seem pretty sure of the endometriosis – stating "25 yr old, healthy female, it has to be the case" — any recommendations as to what to do?
I landed hard on my tailbone a month ago. I rested, iced and even used a donut to sit on. My tailbone is healing but now I am having major lower back pain. Sharp shooting pain when I sit for too long or bend over or just plain move wrong. I am thinking of just going to a chiropractor, but do I need to go to a doctor instead?
I was in a car accident 22 months ago. In Aug I went to a chiropractor and was told that my pelvis was misaligned mostly due to the accident. Can a misaligned pelvis cause right lower abdominal pain?
I’ve been having back pain recently and it’s because of a disluxation in my vertebrae. I’ve had my little sister walk on my back at times and it usually helps me out. but this past week there’s been a pain that won’t go away.
it’s kinda underneath my right shoulder blade so it’s hidden from her weight. we do this on carpeting but I don’t exactly know where to put my arms and head. should i be face down or head to the side. and should my arms be down at my sides, out to the side, or straight up in front of me? the pain is that of one of my nerves being crushed by some bone that’s misplaced. but it’s not centered on my back either, it’s to the right. I can tell that it’s not a sore muscle either, it’s pressure on the nerve that won’t go away. I’m constantly locking my hands behind my back and pushing my arms upwards. this usually cracks my upper back but this isn’t helping either. but it feels like i’m on the right track. can any chiropractor reccomend a home remedy?
Sharp fleeting pain at base of spine when getting up from sitting, 6 months since it started. Dr and chiropractor have been unable to diagnose it ( not a coccyx injury, has been checked ). I’m 16, female. The pain is gradually getting worse and sitting back now hurts as well. Should xrays or ultrasounds have been ordered? Any suggestions of possible causes?
For the last 4-5 months i’ve had terrible lower back pain. It all started one day after a snowboarding trip, where I woke up the day after and my lower back was in a lot of pain. To the point of where i was immobile. I went to the doctor to get it looked at and was prescribed muscle relaxants and steroids. The medication did help the pain go away.
However, since then I’ve periodically had medium lower back pain. I notice it from the instant I get out of bed and it usually lingers through out the day. I usually get relief whenever i sit down, however, whenever i stand straight up the pain immediately comes back.
I’ve tried stretching my core as well as taken time off from exercise (which i routinely did 3 times a week). It’s been about 2 weeks since I last went to the gym.
Also, the back pain isn’t really noticeable whenever i’m active or moving around.
Any help towards this would be appreciated. I’ve tried looking around several discussion areas as well as spoken with my doctor, a chiropractor, and physical therapist and can’t get a clear answer to what may be going on. They all seem to think they can help it using their "treatments" but i’m hesitant to start paying for services when I’m not even sure if it really is a problem.
I’m 16. When I came back from the gym yesterday I had the worst back pain in the world. I can barely walk because it’s way to painful, can barely sit, and when i sneeze it feels like my back cracks in half. I took an advil and a warm bath and it didn’t work at all. What should I do? I’m going to see a Chiropractor today. Will I need surgery?
I have a back condition…fell through my attic floor 15 years ago…and it’s so uncomfortable trying to sleep. I put pillows under my knees, under my torso (when on my side). I wake up in the morning in a sea on pillows and blankets. Anyone have any better solutions?
I go to a chiropractor, physical therapy off and on. Just need help with sleeping.
