For about 8 months now i have had back pain on my right side. i slept weird one night and woke up with a stiff neck. i figured it would go away but the pain is still there when i turn my head to the right side. it is between my spine and shoulder blade and goes up into the right side of my neck. i have been to the chiropractor but that did not really help. what is this pain? and what can i do to treat it?

I’ve been having mild to moderate upper-mid back and shoulder pain, on and off, for at least a few years. My neck often aches as well. I’m a 25 year old student who spends a lot of time sitting in front of a computer. I know my posture could be better, but it’s difficult to maintain when sitting in front of a laptop. So my question is, do you think I should see a chiropractor, massage therapist, or physical therapist about this? I feel like my muscles are almost always very tight, but I have had a bit of shooting pain in my upper-mid back and some mild tingling down my arms (rarely). I would like to hear from people who visited any of these specialists. Thanks!

About a year ago I went to the chiropractor he at some point during the apt. moved/ stretched my legs and ever since I have had pain in my lower back ( left side) and it feels as though I have loose muscles as well on the lower left side. This pain is increased when I sit in the wrong position or any position for a prolonged period of time. What does anyone think this is ? Any input?

when i was younger, about seven, i injured my back pretty badly whenmy dad ran into me when we were sledding down a hill. and just about a year ago the pain has come back (i am 14 now) i have started to lean against my chair and school and crack my back (its loud and sometimes painful) i even have my mom or sistser step on my back to get all the cracks out, but i think that hurts me more. i also have a fairly heavy chest, so that might not help. my mom thinks it is becuase i have an old matress, its about 25 years old but i refuse to give it up because its so comfortable. i have never gone to see a doctor or a chiropractor about my back problems. sometimes it keeps me from getting to sleep. what can i do to help this?

I was involved in a car crash about 7 months ago. I have been going to the chiropractor just about once a week since then and have felt no relief. The pain intensity comes and goes, but it is always there. Along the right side of my spine, my right shoulder and lower back. Pain worsens upon inhalation.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to make it stop hurting? Ibpropfin & Icyhot provides some relief but not much. Please help?

I’m 13 and am having back pain, it hurts the worst in my lower back, and the beginning of the middle back, not so much the upper back. I’ve asked my mom to take me to the chiropractor but she won’t take me, so I was wondering if there was anything I could do to relieve the back pain?

My friend has had bad middle back pains for about 15 months now. He’s been to the doctor and chiropractor (went for 5 months), neither has helped. Its partially muscular and bone pain. Any ideas on how to help that don’t include constantly taking pain killers?

i"ve already had a discectomy, and 5 shots pre surgery, plus one (so far) post surgery. The DR. wants to try more, but they don’t seem to help.
I have my own TENS unit that helps w/ muscle spasms.
I’ve had nerve blocks and assorted steroid injections.
chiropractor
accupunture
cupping
swimming and other P.T.
pilates
HAVE been taking the baby asprin for years
surgery
ive done everything except a witch doctor with a rattle and a bone thru his nose
i should also add that this is a workmans comp case and the dr. doing the injections is the pain management dr.

I need to get rid of my lower back pain. i have had it as long as i can remember, but it dosent bother me exept when i play sports or do yard work or anything like that. I play ice hockey, almost everyday, pain is really a problem. Im gonna head to the doctors soon, and try and get to a chiropractor. Ive heard of all these things people have done to make it go away, which have worked. What has worked the best for you?

Has anyone else had very uncomfortable pressure in the lower back? To alleviate the pressure, I have to curb my back when standing. When I walk for long distances, I get really bad leg spasms. I am seeing a chiropractor to no avail.
